Auma Betty
Betty is my name, am married and mother of six , I came to Kampala in 1997, after my father was killed by the rebels , in northern Uganda. Here in Kampala , life was not quite okey for my family, my major work was moving round town with yellow bananas on my head , as a way of making ends meet. During my free time , I would join my husband at the stone quarry where his livelyhood was , day in day out. it was not at all a simple way of living.
This easened somehow when by some good luck, the Life in Africa community visited our village and introduced the bracelet project. Here I started experiencing a completely new life. Rent which was the major headache, became history in our house, our children were no longer seen at home during school days as was the case initially. Generally, all was improved.
I would like to thank the life in Africa community for making me experience a new life, I have actually gone so many steps a head, acquring a small plot is among these numerous achievements. Should anyone get this opportunity of knowing Life in Africa, please don't miss becoming a member, because there is alot of good that takes place here.
